Adelaide Football Club is proud to support SEDA College’s Female Scholarship with applications now open for 2025.
The scholarship is designed to provide young females who are passionate about learning and leadership in the community with the best pathway for successfully completing Years 11 and 12.
This equity-based scholarship is exclusively for female students with a financial need that exceeds the support currently available, and aligns with SEDA’s strategic goal of increasing the number of females representing sports across the College.
Adelaide partners with SEDA to deliver the SEDA Crows program which provides students in Years 11 and 12 with the opportunity to complete their SACE studies within sport. Students are able to achieve educational and industry qualifications while gaining a first-hand understanding of the sports industry through their involvement with the Club.
Crows AFLW premiership player and Club Champion Anne Hatchard is a SEDA College ambassador, and said the female scholarship was about providing more students with the opportunity to pursue a career in sport.
“SEDA supports its students and their studies by getting them involved in sports they are passionate about,” Hatchard said.
“It’s really important for females to have access to these scholarships because it’s not always easy to get a foot in the door with sports, so to give them the opportunity is amazing and hopefully helps them with a future in sport or whatever that may be.
“The more female participation in football the bigger the AFLW will be, and the more opportunities that will exist.”
